The weave of nature

The woven veneer of nature is something unattainably beautiful. The surface of rocks, the bark of trees, things that will be ever-changing, physical appearances that have been woven for hundreds if not thousands of years. And never been blanked out by weather and wind.

Surface with experience, an area that understands what it means to be resilient.

Through countless layers, I weave my thoughts in my paintings, through dirt and oil. Each layer brings its journeys and challenges. An ongoing communication that lets me know what its needs are, what does it desperately needs, color, fat, transparency, form and on it goes.

It is important to be sensitive and present, not to miss what is offered.

For a year or maybe four, paintings have time to both offer and demand.
